Unanet Benefits Overview

We are committed to our employees and are proud to offer a variety of benefits with flexibility and wellness in mind. In addition to our business casual environment, we currently offer the following benefits.
Health & Wellness
Unanet pays 100% of the monthly premium for employees and 50% for dependents on most of our plans. Today, we offer three (3) Medical plans through Cigna, including a high-deductible plan which enables you to contribute pre-tax dollars to a Health Savings Account (HSA) of your choice. Employees enrolled in the high-deductible plan will receive an employer contribution to their Health Savings Account. We also offer two (2) Dental plans through Cigna and two (2) Vision plans through VSP. Our employees are eligible for our benefits plan effective the 1st of the month following their date of hire.
Flexible Spending Account
Save pre-tax dollars for eligible medical and dental costs, such as copays, prescriptions, dependent care, etc. You can contribute up to $2,750 maximum for Medical Reimbursements (HSA option for dental and vision only) and $5,000 for Dependent Care reimbursements.
401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
Unanet offers a 401(k) through Fidelity, with an employer match. Unanet matches 100% of the first 3% contributed by the employee and 50% of the next 2% contributed. To leave no money on the table, if an employee contributes 5%, Unanet will match 4%. Employees are immediately vested in our employer match and are eligible to contribute to both Roth and/or Traditional retirement plans.
Ownership / Equity
All Unanet employees have a stake in the company and, as such, are granted options upon hire. Options vest on the following schedule: One-year cliff vesting of 25% of grant followed by 1/36th of the remainder per month for 3 subsequent years. Employees are fully vested 4 years from the vesting start date.
Paid Time Off
We work as a team and recognize the need for time off for rest, relaxation and to attend to personal matters that may arise. In addition to eleven (11) paid calendar holidays per year, Unanet offers Open Paid Time Off. Pursuant to this policy, all eligible employees are permitted and expected to take time off in their reasonable discretion, subject to prior approval from their manager.
Paid Parental Leave
Family is everything and we’re proud to support both mothers and fathers at Unanet, offering six (6) weeks of paid parental leave to bond with and/or care for a new baby or adopted child, after eligibility period is met.
Life / AD&D / Short- and Long-Term Disability
Benefits are effective on date of hire. Monthly premium costs are paid for by Unanet. Basic Life/AD&D is 2x annual base salary, up to a $200,000 maximum benefit. STD can be supplemented to full 100% pay using Open PTO.
Unanet also offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as well as Voluntary Life Insurance at our group rate.
Voluntary Benefits through Guardian and TransAmerica
Benefits are effective on date of hire. Monthly premium costs are paid for by the Employee. Benefits include Guardian Accident Insurance, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity & College Tuition Benefits along with TransAmerica Universal Life & Long-Term Care.
Communication Reimbursement
Employees are provided $100 per month ($50 per semi-monthly pay period) to offset the cost associated to cell phone and home internet. This benefit may be prorated in the first pay period based on date of hire.
Office Supplies & Equipment Allowance
Given that we allow employees to work from anywhere, all newly hired employees receive a one-time allowance up to $300 to equip their home office in addition to the standard issued equipment provided by the company.
Tuition Reimbursement
Regular, full-time employees who work a 30-hour work week or more may be reimbursed each calendar year up to a maximum of $5,250 for approved tuition for college and university courses. Please first consult with your manager.
Professional Development & Certifications
Unanet strongly supports employee development and believes it is imperative to fostering a high-performing team. We encourage employees to take advantage of learning experiences that promote continuous learning. Further, in support of targeted certifications relevant to employees’ fields of expertise, Unanet provides assistance in obtaining approved credentials.
