Unanet Earns Spot on Inc. 5000 D.C. Metro List
Dulles, VA, March 3, 2020 – Unanet, the leading SaaS project-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) provider, has been ranked one of the fastest-growing private companies in the D.C. metro region by Inc. magazine, which released its inaugural Inc. 5000 Regional Series list on February 26. Headquartered in Dulles, Virginia, Unanet serves more than 2,000 businesses nationwide, including professional services firms in the government services and architecture and engineering sectors.
In making the Inc. 5000 list, Unanet joins exclusive company. This year’s list includes private companies with an average growth rate of 196 percent from 2016 to 2018, employing over 88,000 people and adding $6.5 billion in revenue to the greater D.C. area’s economy in 2018 alone. The prestigious ranking recognizes Unanet’s accelerated growth in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware, placing the company in the top 10% of the list, at no. 245.
“Unanet has been a part of D.C.’s dynamic independent small businesses segment for more than 20 years but in the past year, we’ve accelerated our growth more broadly throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, and plan to continue this trajectory,” said Craig Halliday, CEO, Unanet. “With our expanded leadership team and recent moves to fortify our position in the architecture and engineering segments, we see even stronger growth in 2020 and beyond.”
Unanet acquired Clearview Software last fall and received a significant growth equity investment from JMI Equity in June 2019. Earlier this year, the successful cloud-based Project ERP company announced the addition of six new members to its executive team.
“The companies on this list demonstrate just how much the small-business sector impacts the economies of D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware” says Inc. editor in chief Scott Omelianuk. “Across every single industry, these businesses have posted revenue and growth rates that are beyond impressive, further proving the tenacity of their founders and CEOs.”
